Deputies did not want to extend the session until autumn

On Thursday, July 13, the deputies did not garner votes for the initiative of the head of parliament to extend the session until September 5. For this decision 215 people's deputies voted with 226 minimally necessary to make a decision.

At the same time, Parubiy, presenting his initiative at the meeting, argued for the need to adopt it "by the importance of the tasks facing the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the need to gather at any time and for important decisions that may appear on the agenda". At the same time, the deputies approved the calendar work plan for the next, seventh session.

Thus, according to the calendar plan of the Verkhovna Rada, the last plenary meeting of the current sixth session of the eighth convocation will be held on July 14. The next session will open on September 5, 2017 and end on February 2, 2018.

After an unsuccessful vote, Parubius declared a break in the parliament session for thirty minutes.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Thursday, July 13, intends to consider the submission of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine to a people's deputy from the "Opposition block" Mikhail Dobkin.
