Since Arsenal categorically rejected Barcelona's proposed 50 million euros for Hector Belierin, the Catalans switched to the "plan B" - right-back Benfica and Portuguese national team Nelson Semedu.

As reported by the Portuguese edition of Record and the Spanish Sport, Blaugrana offers 30 million euros for the 23-year-old player. Sports Director of Barcelona Robert Fernandez said that negotiations with Benfica and Semed will begin in the near future.

In the season-2016/2017 Semed spent for Benfica 42 games in all tournaments (2 goals) and has 6 fights in the national team of Portugal.
