The nutrient choline, which is found in large quantities in eggs, can reduce the risk of breast cancer, according to scientists at the University of North Carolina (USA).
According to the results of the study, experts found that consuming large amounts of choline reduces the risk of developing breast tumors by 24%. On average, a high amount of choline was determined by a number of 455 milligrams or more.
Doctors say that choline is necessary for the normal functioning of cells, including brain and nerve functions, for good memory, healthy heart and optimal metabolism regardless of your age or sex.
One egg contains 125.5 milligrams of choline or about a quarter of the recommended daily dose, which makes eggs an excellent source of this substance, experts say. Choline is found exclusively in the egg yolk. Other sources of choline are liver, wheat and cauliflower. Oncologists advise women to breast cancer daily to consume 2-3 eggs.
