On the highway Trakia, on the section Sofia-Pazardzhik, 48 kilometers from Sofia, faced more than 40 cars. As a result of the accident, 31 people were injured.

As reported by the Bulgarian agency Focus, all those who suffered in the mass traffic accident were taken to the hospital. At the same time, four of them are in critical condition.

13 ambulances left the scene. A preliminary cause of the incident is called a dense fog.

At the same time, local authorities are checking the version about the deterioration of visibility resulting from the smoke from burning landfills in Ihtiman. According to the information of Bulgarian journalists, visibility at the time of the accident was one to two meters.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, on Wednesday, July 5, in the Melitopol district of the Zaporozhye region, a passenger train crushed a car. As a result of the accident, a family of three died.

According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Zaporizhzhya region, the accident occurred on an unregulated railway crossing between the Akimovka and Tashchenok stations after one o'clock in the afternoon.
