Ex-football player of Kiev "Dynamo" wants to become mayor of Georgian capital

Former footballer and player of Dynamo Kiev of Lobanovsky times, and now Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy 39-year-old Kakha Kaladze will run for mayor of Tbilisi. His candidacy on Saturday, July 1, put forward the ruling party "Georgian Dream".

Elections of Tbilisi Mayor and four other Georgian cities will be held in late October.

Recall, for Kiev "Dynamo" Kaladze played since 1998. As a midfielder played in 104 games, he scored five goals. Was one of the symbols of the gold team of the now late head coach of "Dynamo" Valery Lobanovsky, who was in the semifinals of the Champions League.

The policy of Kaladze began in the autumn of 2011 - he became a member of the then opposition party "Georgian Dream". In October 2012, this political party won parliamentary elections, so the ex-football player received high posts in the government of Georgia.
