According to one of the main developers of the iPhone Tony Fadell, Apple dismantled hundreds of phones from other manufacturers during the development of the iPhone. Top-manager shared interesting details about the creation of the first "apple" smartphone in an interview with Wired.

"At that time, did you know about the existence of a touch phone LG Prada, which was released in 2006? "- asked the journalist, referring to LG, which, according to a number of analysts, copied Apple. In 2006, the head of the LG Mobile Handset R & D Center said: "Apple stole our idea".

Fadell confirmed that he knew about this device, but added that this was only one of hundreds of smartphones that Apple took into account.

"Yes, I knew about him. We have probably sorted out about 100 phones, 100 different players and a lot of consumer electronics. We looked at everything. All this was all over the office so that we could simply look and understand what these products are, how they were produced and what their competitive advantages are ".

In an interview, Fadell also talked about cooperation with Motorola. One of the results was the Motorola Rokr phone, compatible with iTunes, which was introduced on September 7, 2005.

It is noteworthy that the cooperation of the two companies began more than twenty years ago, when Apple used in its computers the Lisa series processors Motorola 68000.
