Counterfeit cheeses flooded the counters of metropolitan shops, claim defenders of consumer rights. After the control purchase in the supermarket, it turned out that more than half of the processed cheese and popular Dutch and Russian - are not cheeses at all. Examination was conducted in the state laboratory of Ukrmetrteststandard. Experts examined 21 types of hard cheese and 13 processed cheese curds. The result is depressing - half of the samples contained non-milk fats. One of the cheeses was tested for trans fats - they are the most dangerous for the human body. The content of unsafe fats exceeded the norm by half.

The more expensive the product and the better known brand, the higher the probability of high quality, experts say, but the check still advises to keep. A check together with the packaging from the cheese can be attached to the application to the Gotterbudsluzhba. If a complaint about the quality of the product is confirmed - the enterprise will be fined, and for systematic violations may completely shut down production.
