Google in Russia has not yet banned. There is an open letter from Roskomnadzor to the administration of Telegram messenger, in particular to Pavel Durov, demanding to provide all the necessary data about the company itself. The problem, of course, is not to provide such data, but to provide data on the work of the company. Namely - information about the content of the information that people exchange in this company.
The administration of Telegraph in this regard replied that no government and no special services received a single bit of information about how people communicate with this messenger.
In fact, there is an attempt to fulfill the unfulfilled law of Yarovoy. Law, which is not in any side of the world. It's about this. It's not about knowing the name of the head of the company, some other things. It's all easy to find out on the same Wikipedia or look at the website of the company itself.
It's about trying to control people's conversations. This is a senseless attempt for many reasons. First, it is impossible. No special services of the world will not have enough power to control all conversations that people exchange in social networks. It is pointless.
And secondly, it's just illegal. That is, the law of Yarovoi has no legal nature. Here is the piece of paper on which "federal law" is written on top, and the president's signature is on the bottom, and inside of these records is written the nonsense of the name Yarina Yarovoy. It is impossible to execute it.
Here the head of Roskomnadzor Alexander Zharov insistently demands from Paul Durov that he fulfilled this law. And this is impossible. That's the whole story.
Alexander Zharov threatens with blocking. Well, and a flag in his hands. We have a huge amount of resources blocked and, if necessary, everyone knows how to bypass this lock. Alexander Zharov will make the life of the users of Telegrams a little more difficult.
Theoretically in Russia can prohibit much. Although the ban by Google, the global company, so far this is like a too fun joke for our circus. It's too much even for that crazy house in which we are located.
