On June 22, the Verkhovna Rada passed a law on the mandatory installation of heat and water meters in all houses.

"For" the draft law voted 238 people's deputies. According to the new draft law, multi-apartment houses must necessarily include electricity and water meters, as well as apartment meters that distribute the readings of common house metering devices.

In non-residential buildings, meters must be installed before October 1, 2017, and in residential buildings - before October 1, 2018.

Representatives of local heating networks and utilities should take up the equipment of meters.
