Accused of the murder of Russian oppositionist Boris Nemtsov and their lawyers said they were not involved in the crime and respect for the murdered politician and accused of organizing the crime of the FSB.

Before this, the lawyers of the accused stated that the evidence of the prosecution did not hold up to any criticism.

In turn, Khamzat Bakhayev, whose role in the murder during the investigation so clearly and did not clear up, in the last word stressed that he learned about the murder of Nemtsov only from TV news.

Shadid Gubashev his last word began with an apology to the family of Nemtsov for testimony that he gave during the preliminary investigation. Then Gubashev gave confessions and, in particular, called politics "American filth".

At a meeting on June 21 Gubashev again stressed that he refused these words and that he testified under torture.

"This is a political murder. FSB assassination. Great, such a big country that must protect its people, it kills a man, and on its own citizens hangs this brutal murder. Brother Shadida Anzor Gubashev, who also gave confessions, and then refused them, repeated that the accused had been tortured.

"My opinion - Nemtsov was killed for his courage, for what he said about the current government. Then I did not know him, but already here [in the pretrial detention center] I read the book "Confessions of a rebel" and I want to thank his mother for growing such a person, "said Anzor Gubashev.

"I did not commit this crime, I swear by Allah. I'm as clear as a tear of an angel, I swear to you, "Temirlan Eskershanov addressed the jury.

The last one was the alleged murderer of Nemtsov - Zaur Dadaev. Like the brothers Gubashev, he stressed that he gave confessions only under the torture of the siloviki because of his own "cowardice".

"You are interested in one [the head of Chechnya Ramzan] Kadyrov, but we are not him. We did not come to Moscow for a crime. We are not rams, so that one sheep spoils the entire herd ... The Chechens do not shoot in the back. We are not the people to kill like that, "he said..
