Attackers offered 1.5 thousand dollars for closing a criminal case against their acquaintance. As reported by the press service of the National Police, scammers were detained by internal security officers of the National Police of Ukraine and the regional police in Vinnytsia region.

The police told that a criminal case was opened against a resident of Poltava for committing fraudulent actions. The mediators offered a bribe to the 25-year-old investigator of the Khmilnik police to close the case.

However, a senior police lieutenant reported this to the leadership. Detained scammers in the office of the investigator during the transfer of money. The money was seized as material evidence, and the suspect and his acquaintances were detained.

Now they are facing a sentence of imprisonment for up to eight years, with or without confiscation of property.
