In the fall of 2017, the Russian leadership is preparing a major provocation in the occupied Crimea as part of the World Festival of Youth and Students.

This was announced by the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Igor Zhdanov on his Facebook page.

According to him, in October 2017, Russia will hold the World Festival of Youth and Students, which will be used to legitimize the occupation of the Crimea.

"The program of the event includes a visit by foreign delegates of the territory of Ukraine, occupied as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation,. Of Sevastopol and r. Simferopol Crimea, "- wrote Zhdanov.

He stressed that this is a manifestation of a conscious disregard for the key foundations of international law, primarily with regard to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of an independent state.

"In fact, it will be an endorsement of the criminal policy of the aggressor country against Ukraine," the minister added..

He urged other countries to ignore this event and not allow the Kremlin to draw its citizens into an international diplomatic scandal, and the competent authorities take measures within their powers to prevent provocation.

Zhdanov also published an appeal to the Security Service of Ukraine with a request to respond to Russia's actions.
