Ukrainian universities ranked among the best in Europe

In the new ranking of the best universities in Europe, the British magazine Times Higher Education (THE) was four Ukrainian universities. In total, 400 organizations were included in the European rating of universities, which amounted to about 40 percent of those included in the global list, which includes 980 educational institutions. The leading Ukrainian university was the National University Lviv Polytechnic. Next come the National Technical University "Kiev Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky, Kiev National Taras Shevchenko University and Kharkov National University named after Vasily Karazin. However, all of them are located below the 300th place in the rating. The first place in the ranking was taken by Oxford University. This educational institution is also in the lead in the world rating THE. The second place in Europe, the authors of the rating gave Cambridge University (4th place in the world), closes the top three of the Imperial College of London (8th place in the world ranking). The European rating THE included 90 educational institutions from the United Kingdom, followed by Germany - 41 institutes and a university. Among the leaders in the number of educational institutions included in the rating were also Switzerland and Sweden. June 8 it was reported that Ukrainian universities were included in the list of the best universities in the world, compiled by the British consulting company Quacquarelli Symonds. The first among the six Ukrainian universities, included in the rating, was the Kharkov National University named after Vasily Karazin.
