RIA Novosti reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked the head of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev for supporting the Russian language in the republic and for his great contribution to the development of bilateral relations.
Putin after the Russian-Kyrgyz talks said: "We know that the president of the republic finishes his work at this high post. I would like to thank Almazbek Sharshenovich for what he has done to develop Russian-Kyrgyz relations, for what he does to develop and support the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan. We are in a position to evaluate this, we highly appreciate it. We want to thank you for having laid a solid foundation for the development of bilateral relations for medium-term and, I hope, long-term prospects ".
