On Monday, June 19, police detained bribe-takers during the receipt of 50 thousand dollars. As reported by the press service of the National Police, the official was detained in the premises of his own hotel.

The official of one of the standing committees of the regional council received from the head of the municipal enterprise the specified amount for leaving the head in office, extending the contract for work, positive findings of the commission for checking the state of construction of the facility, as well as continuing financing of capital construction for more than 23 million hryvnia.

The funds that the attacker received as an undue advantage were seized as material evidence in the case. The bribe-taker himself was detained in the order of the article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine Receiving a bribe, which provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 12 years.
