Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo can not score at a major free-kick tournament.

Four-time winner of the Golden Ball is a regular performer of the standard provisions when it comes to direct strikes on the goal, and in Real and in the Portuguese national team.

In a match against Mexico in the Confederations Cup (2-2), Ronaldo managed to give an assist, and also did not score after a free-kick.

According to the Netherlands edition of Gracenote, the same free-kick came for Cristiano already at the 44th major tournaments of the national teams (European Championship, World Cup, Confederation Cup) and none of them became effective.
