A group of specialists from the University of Colorado said: the diet of a pregnant woman affects the fetus, as well as the development of his brain, due to specific smells and flavors. Therefore, certain products then seem more attractive to the child.

The author of the study, Dr. Josefina Todrank states the importance of healthy eating and refusing to drink alcohol during pregnancy and lactation. If the future mother consumes alcoholic beverages, her child may later also experience cravings for alcohol, since the developing fetus is "sure" that everything coming from the mother a priori is safe.
