Experts say that cabbage, eggs and meat have already risen in price, bread in turn.

State regulation of food prices has sunk to oblivion - the Cabinet of Ministers recently adopted a decree on its final abolition. This fact coincided with a sharp increase in inflation for food - according to the State Statistics, products went up in May by 2.3%, and according to the estimates of the National Bank - by as much as 4.7%!.

The opinions of the experts are different: some say that state regulation did not influence prices, so it still had to be canceled, others - that the psychological factor that allows somehow to moderate the appetites of trade.

What was canceled?. Recall, for the first time the Cabinet suspended the state regulation of prices in October 2016. The abolition of restrictions on trade mark-ups of up to 15% on socially important goods (flour, pasta, cereals, meat with bones, sausage boiled 1 and 2 grades, milk, cottage cheese, sour cream, butter, eggs, sugar, sunflower oil) was to last until January 2017 Th, but it was extended indefinitely. And the other day there was an order for a final cancellation.

Now the prices have become free: that is, producers can pawn any profit when forming a wholesale price, and the trade can establish at least a 100% surcharge to the wholesale price if the product is in demand.

As explained by the press service of the Cabinet, the "pilot" showed that the suspension of state regulation had little effect on the price increase, so its complete cancellation will simplify the conduct of business, increase competition and form a price, depending on demand and supply in the consuming market.

But this is not all: border prices have been abolished for bread of social sotsorts ("Ukrainian" and loaf), baby food, and finally, for services in the markets (the owners of the "bazaar" can take any price for the place from the sellers).

EXPERTS. Opinions of specialists on the abolition of state regulation diverge. According to the president of Ukrainatit center Olexandr Okhrimenko, the sellers were already bypassing him. "They made corn-sunflower mixtures, sold separately meat and separately soups from bones, and t. Therefore, the abolition of state regulation is correct, "Okhrimenko said..

The general director of the Association of Trade Network Suppliers Alexei Doroshenko has another look. He agrees that the volumes of social goods were small and did not affect the market, but to say that state regulation is useless, one can not.

"It was a deterrent. The manufacturer realized that if he sharply raised prices, he would be fined and the prices more or less smoothed out. When in August 2016, for the first time the idea of ??refusal of state regulation was announced, immediately prices began to grow ".

FOR SUMMER. But experts do not expect the traditional summer "failure" of prices. Doroshenko estimated how much in June the prices for social goods grew. For example, pork went up by 3.5 UAH (+ 4%), or up to 91 UAH / kg, cooked sausage 1 grade - by 0.5 UAH (0.7%), or up to 66 UAH / kg.

The most added cabbage and eggs - an increase, respectively, by 4 UAH per 1 kg (+ 42%) and by 3.5 UAH / des. (+ 34%), or up to 13.5 UAH per kilo / ten.

Vegetables also do not become cheaper, despite the summer, and dairy products. On the contrary, according to the information of agro-portals, tomatoes even went up in value by 3-4 UAH, or up to 25-26 UAH / kg.

Analyst of the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation Dmitry Dana explains the high cost of vegetables in protracted spring and unexpected frosts. Experts doubt that this year will be traditional summer deflation.

"Prices will not fall because of a twofold increase in the minimum wage, since it raised the cost of all products," says Okhrimenko.
