Russian propaganda does not have much success in Ukraine, because it uses outdated methods and forms.

This opinion was expressed in an interview with Apostrophe by a military journalist, coordinator of the group "Information Resistance" Konstantin Mashovets.

"The fact is that the Russians here were in the fifth corner, which they themselves also arranged. They went to the hybrid form of warfare. But this propaganda tool, even acquiring technologically new forms (electronic media, social networks, everything else), in fact, remains the same good old propaganda, "says Mashovets. At the same time draws attention to the fact that most Ukrainians Russian propaganda causes laughter, but not fear.

The journalist admits that Ukrainian tools and mechanisms to counter propaganda by volume and intensity can not compare with Russia. However, Ukraine turned to another form of resistance.

"And our Ukrainian mechanisms to counter Russian propaganda are based on the fact that they simply level common sense in propaganda messages," Mashovets said, noting that the effect of propaganda is constantly declining.

According to the expert, Russia is trying to provoke negative depressive feelings and embitterment among the population. "But recently, thanks to our counteraction mechanisms, it's all taking grotesque forms and instead of depression it causes a smile, a healthy man's laughter over idiocy and debility," he continues and adds that stories similar to those about the "concentration camp in Kramatorsk, Will be effective only for residents of the Russian hinterland.

At the same time, Mashovets notes that in some situations Ukrainians can not yet effectively oppose Russian propaganda.

"The most beneficial topic is that it has at least minimal real grounds. For example, the fight against corruption that has unfolded in our country is used by our external enemy to undermine the stability of Ukraine's military and political power. This is extremely important for them, because during the reflection of aggression, the instability of power affects its effectiveness in actions and decision-making, "he explained..

According to the journalist, the Kremlin tries to achieve its goal due to the fact that in Ukraine they do not put an end to the extremism of people with an obvious anti-Ukrainian stance.

"Here he came with serious intentions, with stories about the" one people ", with" fraternal feelings ". And we turned all this into a profanity. And it happens quite naturally. Without much effort on our part, "- concluded Mashovets.
