Russia sympathizes with US President Donald Trump, as he announced his readiness to restore bilateral relations.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said this in an interview with American director Oliver Stone.

- Of course, we sympathized with Donald Trump and now we are doing it, because he publicly announced his readiness and desire to restore Russian-American relations. And when journalists from different countries tried to ask me questions and thought that they would catch me now, I kept asking: are you really against good relations between Russia and the US? - he said.

According to the Russian leader, Russia should look at how relations between countries will develop in practice.
