The reason was their illegal stay earlier in the Crimea.

"We are now surrounded. We are deported for being in the Crimea, "said the press secretary of the Russian Boxing Federation Vlad Romanov.

Back to Russia, send seven people: boxer Georgy Kushitashvili, Romanov and journalists who accompanied the delegation.

At the same time, nine people from the Russian team, who had not previously been to the Crimea, missed the territory of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the State Border Service of Ukraine reported that it was decided not to allow nine representatives of the Russian Federation.

In addition, the eight representatives of the Russian Boxing Federation are banned from entering Ukraine for three years.

European Championship in boxing in Kharkiv will last from June 14th to June 26th.
