On Tuesday, June 13, the Kyiv City Council, at a meeting of the Standing Committee on Budget and Social and Economic Development, agreed on the draft of the relevant decision. As the press service of Kyivrada informs, the draft decision provides for the prohibition of the sale of alcoholic beverages in the kiosks of the city.

In particular, we are talking about vodka, low-alcohol beverages, gin and tonic, and in general, all alcohol-containing beverages. At the same time, the author of the document, MP Vladislav Mikhaylenko noted that in Kiev there was a legislative collision.

According to the current legislation, alcoholic beverages can only be sold in capital facilities. The legislator clearly defines what is the capital structure, what it has standards for.

At the same time, temporary structures in no way refer to capital structures and therefore, in fact, we violate legislation, "he explained, adding that the purpose of the document is to resolve this conflict situation.

The document will be considered at the plenary session of Kyivrada. Recall, the Moscow authorities have already tried to prohibit the sale of alcohol in Kiev kiosks. As early as April 8, 2016, the Moscow authorities officially banned the sale of alcoholic beverages in kiosks.

As reported URA-Inform, the Administrative Court of Appeal of Kiev in November of the same year revoked the decision of the city council and allowed to sell alcohol in the MAF.
