New cases of botulism were recorded in the Zaporozhye region.

As reported by the General Directorate of the Civil Service in the region, as early as June 2 in the city of Dniprodroje, a woman was hospitalized with a corresponding diagnosis.

Presumably the woman was ill after consuming fish of unknown origin, acquired in the general trading network.

The investigation is underway now.

Gospretrebluzhba sent to the hospital a request for the presence of other victims or treatment with signs of intestinal infection associated with the use of fish.

At the same time, local media write that last weekend in the resuscitation of the Zaporozhye regional infectious diseases hospital, three women with botulism were delivered.

The cause of infection, most likely, became a dried bream.
