The annexed Crimea is moving towards an ecological disaster.

This was in an interview with the "Observer" said Deputy Minister for the occupied territories Yuri Grymchak.

"Ecological catastrophe awaits Crimea. Steppe Crimea in its time was an alkaline land, that is, a land with salt. When the peninsula became part of Ukraine, a canal was constructed that supplied water from the Dnieper. 10 years it was required that in that steppe it was possible to grow something. 10 years the land was washed with fresh water, until the salt went down, "- said Grymchak.

According to him, as soon as not very educated people come to power, problems begin.

"After annexation, they began to drill and raise water from the lower horizons. This led to the fact that the sown areas in the Crimea are reduced, and only three years have passed, "summed up Grymchak.

As reported by the "Observer", the election of the Russian president was postponed for the anniversary of the annexation of Crimea.
