Once I was asked who, in my opinion, has the greatest sanctions pressure on Russia, the US or the EU? I immediately answered this question - the United States. The position of the EU has always been soft and spineless, compared with the United States, even with the fact that Obama was one of the most gentle presidents in the modern history of the flashlight of democracy. As evidence, a little later, I even cited statistics on the introduction of new sanctions against individuals and legal entities of the Russian Federation on the part of the EU and the US. And, of course, the US did an order of magnitude more to shackle the shovel. And they continue to do so.

By the principle of "give only an excuse," the US this week will be a step closer to the introduction of a new batch of restrictions against the Russians. But the reason turned out to be very suitable, because this week the Upper House of Congress will pass a law on new sanctions against Iran. Well, well, what about the leprosarium? And while he will follow in the form of amendments to this law. Here he is a higher-order rationalism - why gather twice, if you can decide to shoot two birds with one stone?.

In fact, while the Russian media are raving about the abolition of sanctions, which they see at every angle, in the narcotic frenzy, in Washington they are only intensifying. And, in principle, the essence of any sanctions in their constant strengthening, in order to minimize the adaptation of the economy, which is under pressure. And the US, as always, on this issue is much ahead of the spineless EU. And who knows, if there were more people with eggs in Brussels, yes, stronger, the squealing of "sanctions are not terrible to us" from the Kremlin would have sounded much louder and more hysterical.
