Munich Bayern has officially confirmed the return of Willy Sagnol as assistant head coach.
40-year-old Frenchman signed a two-year contract with the German club.
"Having lost two of my assistants in the person of Paul Clement and Hermann Gerland, I informed the club's management of my desire to appoint a new assistant. Willy Saunol meets all the requirements, and I look forward to working with him, "said Bavaria coach Carlo Ancelotti.
"I'm very proud that Carlo Ancelotti, one of the best and most experienced trainers in the world, chose me," added Sagnol.
As a football player, Sagnol played for Bavaria in the period from 2000 to 2009, after having held 277 official matches for the Munich.
After completing his playing career, he trained Bordeaux between 2014 and 2016.
