Meduuniversitet will spend almost 10 million to repair the famous anatomical building.

This is reported by the correspondent of the Ukrainian Information Service with reference to the website Prozorro.

The University announced 2 tenders for repairs - educational premises and facades of the building of the anatomical building, located at: Valikhovskiy lane, 3.

The works are planned to be completed by October 30, 2018.

Both tenders for 9. 7 million was won by one company - "Specialized mobile mechanized column No. 579".

Note that the anatomical building was built in 1897-1899, is a monument of town planning and architecture of local significance.

The Anatomical Museum of Odessa was founded in 1902 - two years after the foundation of the university itself. The collection was periodically replenished, and now has more than 1000 exhibits, which are housed in 24 specially made oak cupboards. The most unique are the heads of mummies from Upper Egypt and the Sahara, who were brought from archaeological expeditions by the staff of the department before 1917. The museum is the only museum in Ukraine and the second in Europe after Vienna of this format.

In the windows of the museum glittering skeletons, parts of bodies and internal organs - in a cut and in nature, skulls, scalps, separate bones, jaws, baby bulls and unborn embryos. All human races are represented here, including many small ones.
