Vitaly Shabunin, chairman of the board of the public organization "Center for Counteracting Corruption", again became a figurant of another unseemly story. This time the public was interested in the reasons why a principled fighter for the truth can not do his duty to the Motherland and serve in its armed forces.

The inconsistencies in explaining the reasons for Shabunin's refusal to serve in the army were noticed by the activists of the public organization "National Interest" - the one that recently published the results of the investigation regarding the schemes for money laundering that went to the public organization under international programs to fight corruption, according to "Ukrainian News".

Activists give Shabunin's explanations with a difference of one day, which contradicted each other. In particular, on June 7 Vitaliy Shabunin reports that he is not fit for military service since 2000 due to his state of health.

"Tomorrow at 9:00 I invite all journalists with me to the Dneprovsky military commissariat (ul. Lebedeva, 14a, cab. 310). I will find out why I am unsuitable for service since 2000 and at 32 years old I received a summons ".

The words of Shabunin are confirmed by his colleague Ustinov.

And on June 8 Vitaly Shabunin, as if nothing had happened, gives absolutely different information: ". My medical diagnosis has nothing to do with why I did not serve.

It is only natural that such a disagreement in the "testimony" raises questions: when Shabunin was cunning, and why did he not serve?.

Vitaly Shabunin: ". From the end of 2011 I had a "reservation": first as a university student and then as a deputy of the city council. Then he grew older. As of 2014 (the beginning of the ATU), I have been for two years as a general appeal. I'm not a reserve officer, so I did not fall under the mobilization ".

Meanwhile, as is known, since 2014 in Ukraine there have been six waves of mobilization. The rules of drafting were somehow adjusted, but in general, almost all men under the age of 60 had to get a summons and come to the military registration and enlistment office, and then they decided what to do with the citizen. After analyzing all these facts, the activists of the "National Interest" came to the conclusion that Shabunin simply did not submit documents to the military enlistment office, since, apparently, he did not aspire to register. This could mean that Shabunin evaded mobilization.

Proceeding from the foregoing, the community members decided to file an application with the law enforcement agencies with a request to investigate the possibility of deliberate evasion of mobilization,.
