Enterprising citizens try to sell seats in the electronic queue.
In May, Ukrainians registered a record number of foreign passports - almost 340,000, while the State Migration Service (SIS) recorded cases of fraud with an electronic queue. This is reported by the press service of the SMS.
For comparison, in April 2017, citizens issued 216 thousand passports, in May last year - 192 thousand.
The SMS explain that the seasonal increase in demand for passports on the eve of summer coincided with the introduction of a visa-free regime with the EU, as a result of which queues were formed in the units where it is possible to issue biometric documents.
The department also fixes fraudulent attempts with an electronic queue, which now operates in the departments of Kiev and eight regions of Ukraine.
"Dozens of attempts to automatically obtain seats in the queue for subsequent resale are caught and blocked on a daily basis. In the case of detection of such cases, entries in the queue are canceled, "- note in the SMS.
The migration service recalls that the electronic queue provides only an individual record, so you should not buy coupons or an entry in the electronic queue, since all records made by third parties will be canceled and you will not be able to draw up a document for them.
Also, the HMS advises Ukrainians who do not plan to leave the country in the near future, wait a few weeks and issue documents in much more comfortable conditions.
