Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Tom Shannon will visit Moscow to meet with Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.

As ABC News learned, the talks will be held on June 23.

"The dialogue will continue, which is intended to combat irritants in relations between the two countries," the journalists explained..

The State Department has not yet officially confirmed the meeting.

"The US and Russia have not reached any agreements," said Senior Advisor to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson Robert Hammond.
