A statement was made by the former director of the FBI, James Komi, for the Senate Committee, in which he confirms that President Donald Trump demanded from him "personal devotion".

In an opening statement published by the Senate Intelligence Committee on the eve of the hearing, Komi describes dinner with Trump on January 27, at which the president tried to establish "something like a patronage relationship" with the FBI.

"This worried me very much, considering the traditionally independent status of the FBI in the structure of the executive branch," the statement of the Komi.

Then, according to the ex-director of the FBI, Trump addressed him with the words: "I need loyalty. I'm waiting for devotion ".

In his opening remarks, the former head of the FBI also claims that Trump asked him to stop the investigation of his ex-national security adviser Michael Flynn:.

"I hope that you clearly see the opportunity to stop this investigation, leave Flynn alone. He is a good guy, "- quotes the words of President Komi.

Komi also said that in a telephone conversation with Trump on March 30, the president called the investigation into his relations with Russia "a cloud that prevents him from acting on behalf of the state".

On May 10, Trump dismissed James Komi from his post as head of the FBI, saying that he "is unable to effectively manage the bureau".

In fact, the dismissal of Komi is connected with the investigation of Russia's interference in the presidential elections in the USA in 2016.

Donald Trump himself called the investigation of the ties of his staff with Russia "the greatest witch-hunt".

Tomorrow, June 8, Komi should answer questions from members of the US Senate Intelligence Committee as part of the investigation into Russia's interference in the presidential election of 2016 and the involvement of members of Trump's election headquarters in this activity.

Trump has a few hours to voluntarily resign, and so try to cover up the scandal.

Key people in Trump's team: Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Pentagon chief James Mattis have made a number of statements in Australia and New Zealand that they have said goodbye to Trump.

Tomorrow's testimony of James Komi in the Senate Intelligence Committee will put things in their place.
