Today, the most ideal, in the sense of blitzkrieg, the war in history began - the 6-day war between Israel and its Arab neighbors. After several provocations on the part of Egypt, the overlapping of the Gulf of Aqaba to the Israeli port of Eilat by the military courts for the leprosy of Nasser, and also the mobilization in the Arab countries around Israel, Israel began a preventive war on three fronts simultaneously. Within two days, the entire Egyptian army and aviation were in ruins. After that, Israel switched to Syria and Jordan. Over the next few days, Syria lost the Golan Heights, from which it regularly bombarded Israel, lying below them. Jordan, however, lost the entire West Bank of the Jordan River and left East Jerusalem, which has since become a single city.

In human history there are many theoretical developments of lightning war, but there was not one so successful and so rapid. The USSR was so embarrassed in its aid to the Arabs that it severed diplomatic relations with Israel. At the same time, in the military circles of the USSR, the tactics and strategy of this war began to be taught in all military academies, as a golden example of military operation in our time and our capabilities, against the superior in technology and number of soldiers, the enemy.

It must be taken into account that despite the military success of this operation, Israel received along with it a whole series of unresolved problems on the lands that it captured. This explains the situation in the region with the world that Israel does not want to return these lands without a peace treaty, while understanding that such a peace treaty Israel can not de facto sign with anyone. Attempts to annex these lands and territories will lead to a world economic and political boycott of Israel, as well as to problems of a demographic nature, where in 20 years the situation may happen that Jews will become a minority in Israel. While Muslims will become the majority, as their number will increase due to the increase of those 2 million Palestinians who live in the territory that is supposed to be annexed.

This is the main lesson of our time. Military methods can not solve some problems, unless you go to full military control and to severe suppression of the local population. That in a legal state, de jure is impossible. The problem has not been solved so far.

Also one interesting fact for reflection is that all victorious wars in Israel, which brought laurels, territories and world fame, were conducted by the governments of the Israeli Social Democrats or with respect to the left-wing politicians. All the wars that led the Likud, or the right-wing party in Israel, ended either with nothing or heavy consequences after.
