The former director of the Library of Ukrainian Literature Natalia Sharina said that she was very surprised by the decision of the judges of the Meshchansky Court of Moscow, who sentenced her to four years probation.

This is reported by "Rain".

Sharina recalled that the advisory library was created by the Moscow government, after which she compared herself and her employees with the "courtyard girl who is kicked".

"I'm so surprised and shocked by this situation. You know, I sometimes compare myself to my employees like a courtyard girl, kicked and kicked, all my face was broken into blood, and they could not stop, "she said..

Also Sharina expressed the hope that people who "started all this at last will calm down".

As reported by the "Observer", in October 2015 in the Library of Ukrainian Literature in Moscow were searched. Then its director Natalia Sharina was detained. She was confiscated 150 books and brochures.

The reason for the initiation of the case was allegedly the distribution among the library visitors of the edition of Dmitry Korchinsky, which was recognized by the Russian court as extremist.
