This is reported by Malta Today.

Thus, 209 candidates will compete for seats in 65 districts of the country.

Note that the leader of the Labor Party and the current Prime Minister of Malta Joseph Muscat hopes to retain the power received in the 2013 elections. At the same time, his main rival is opposition leader Simon Basattil.

By the way, the winner can be announced on Sunday morning, June 4, 2017.

Also, we add that the next parliamentary elections are to be held in 2018.

Recall, as previously reported, "URA-Inform," new quotas for Ukraine from the EU plan to approve before the end of July this year. In turn, Malta, which presides over the EU in the first half of 2017, seeks to complete these discussions until the end of its mandate.
