US sent bombers V-52 to the borders of Russia

In the United Kingdom, several American B-52 strategic bombers were sent to Fairford base, informs Rossiyskaya Gazeta. Edition specifies that bombers will take part in NATO exercises at the borders with Russia. There will also accommodate 800 more US servicemen.

CNN reported that Cold War-era aircraft capable of carrying nuclear weapons were sent to Europe to support NATO allies. It is noted that bombers will also take part in military maneuvers of Baltops-2017 in the Baltic and the Arctic and "along the Russian border".

The newspaper reports that the purpose of the exercise is to demonstrate the NATO naval forces in the Baltic Sea area. In total, the exercises of the North Atlantic bloc will involve about 40 ships from 14 NATO countries and 4,000 servicemen, including the rapid reaction unit. The exercises will be completed on June 18 in German Kiel.
