A New Zealand police officer published in Facebook an audio recording of a conversation with an attacker who tried to access the computer by phone and did not understand that he was calling the law enforcement authorities. The unknown introduced himself as an employee of "Windows technical support" and assured the policeman that he was trying to "solve problems with the computer". He spelled out the address of the site of the service TeamViewer, which serves to configure remote access to devices. The guard of the order patiently listened to the hacker's attempts to extract personal data and asked if the interlocutor wanted to hack him. On this unknown person several times said that he is in charge of technical support, but as soon as he found out that he was calling the police, he cursed and threw up the phone. According to BBC News, in June 2016, unknown people hacked "a huge number of accounts" in TeamViewer. Hackers were able to acquire not only personal information of users, but also got remote access to their computers.
