Russian President Vladimir Putin sharply criticized the United States and NATO for the decision to increase military spending.

This is evidenced by the interview of the Russian leader to the French newspaper Le Figaro, published by the press service of the Kremlin.

Putin noted that everyone is already well aware that the United States spends more on the military sphere and defense than the budget of all countries combined.

"But what interested me?" At the NATO summit they said that NATO wants to establish good relations with Russia. And then why increase military spending? Against whom did they come to fight? "- asked the president of Russia.

As reported by the "Observer", earlier the US moved "anti-Russian" troops to Poland.
