Defender Manchester City Vincent Kompany after an interval of a year and a half received a call to the national team of Belgium.
The last time defender Vincent Kompani, permanently suffering from injuries, played for the national team of Belgium in October 2015. However, in April he returned to Manchester City and now he has received a challenge to the national team for a friendly match with the Czech Republic (June 5) and the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Estonia in Tallinn.
"Few players can return to the team for which they have not performed for so long because of injuries and play at the same high level," said the coach of the Red Devils Roberto Martinez. "But we hope that Vincent will do it".
In this case, Martinez added that the captain of the team so far remains Eden Azar. The full list of players, called for the June matches, looks like this:.
