The US will create in the Old World a new intelligence service. It will be engaged in technical support of reconnaissance and counterintelligence operations in the Balkans and other countries of Eastern and Western Europe. The corresponding contract is posted on the US public procurement website.

One of the locations for the new reconnaissance group will be the Camp Bondsteel military base near the town of Urosevac in Kosovo. There is also a multinational operational group "East" under the command of Washington, which is part of the international forces of NATO, reports RT.

In the description of the tender it is said that the contractor company will "provide technical support services for intelligence activities, carrying out the tasks of the Intelligence Directorate of the US Army in Europe in the territories of Germany (Wiesbaden, Darmstadt, Grafenver), Italy (Vicenza) and Kosovo (military base Camp- Bondsteel) ".

Despite the fact that the new support service will be part of the structure of the US intelligence unit in Wiesbaden, which is responsible for the Federal Republic of Germany, Italy and Kosovo, the powers of the created structure will also extend to Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Romania, Poland) and "other areas".

An additional "back office" is created to "expand operations" in the Allied states, as well as to "deploy emergency operations" in the Balkans. Such actions are taken by the decision of the US Secretary of Defense, when a military response to the actions of the enemy is needed. The document also indicates the additional tasks of the unit: intelligence analysis, planning and conducting intelligence operations, security, as well as operation, maintenance and maintenance of information systems.

The Office will also develop "strategic military plans and concepts of emergency operations". All information that will be extracted by support staff will be sent to the Pentagon. The objectives of the service will go beyond military counterintelligence. These will also include "fighting terrorism, analyzing cyberthreats and other intelligence activities".

In the unit will recruit scouts, experts on cybersecurity, specialists in polygraph, analysts and network engineers. A group of technical support for intelligence will be sent to Europe for six months. This will happen in June. Information on the number of staff, sources of funding, as well as whether the new service will be operated on a rotational basis, was not disclosed in the US military command.

The posting of the application on the site of public procurement coincided with the statement of US Assistant Secretary of State for Eurasian Affairs Hoyt Brian Yee that Washington should "closely follow" Russia's actions in the Balkans.

By creating an additional emergency support service in the Balkan countries, US authorities want to increase their influence on the processes in the region. In recent months, protest actions took place in several countries of the peninsula. In Serbia, protests against the elected president Alexander Vucic were organized, in Macedonia a group of radicals broke into the parliament, opposing the election of Albanian Talat Hafery as speaker, and in Montenegro, a number of opposition members were under investigation because of the "traces of Russia" in the coup attempt.

Western leaders always declare their readiness to assume the role of observers in the flaring conflicts and urge to transfer power to "convenient" politicians for them. At the same time, Moscow, which the pro-Western forces are suspected of trying to destabilize the situation, consistently advocates non-interference in the internal affairs of the Balkan countries.
