The Brazilian club Awai agreed to shelter the former defender of the Brazilian national team Douglas Maicon.

After leaving Roma in the summer of 2016, the player never found a club, so he did not perform at a professional level.

Now the 35-year-old bek decided to resume his career, in which he will help the Brazilian club Avai. Douglas, like many of his compatriots, at the end of his career returned to his native championship.
