In Soviet times, propaganda worked thinner and operated with abstract concepts that could not be considered or measured, and therefore it is difficult to find a discrepancy or outright lie. To do this, it was necessary to have a very good knowledge of the subject, relying on primary sources, but these sources were hidden so much that only the trusted comrades who had access to the KGB had access to them. And these comrades worked hard to ensure that there were no unpleasant things left in public use, and on the contrary, to create a bright and beautiful myth that became a source of pride.
In present-day Russia, there are no such specialists at Karamzin's school at all, and therefore they juggle with jerky concepts that in the scoop nobody would dare to raise to the surface. This is what became the very bonds that are designed to curb the inevitable process of the empire's sprawling. The multinational population of Russia must be cemented to such an extent that people suddenly do not begin to be interested in who they really are. As soon as such interest arises, it becomes clear the true state of affairs.
It turns out that the "multinational people of Russia" are not only the Yakuts, Buryats, Evenki, Nochi, Ossetians, Tatars, Kalmyks and others, but also the Chud, all, Murom, Moksha, Erzya and dozens of other small and large ethnic groups. Immediately behind this there will be two things. It turns out that the "Russian", in the current understanding of the word - no. And right after that there will be a question about why all these peoples were driven by a comb of the adjective "Russian". Having received answers to these two questions, the empire will end by itself. For people will find their roots and see those who chopped these roots for centuries and destroyed them as they could.
It is to ensure that the people do not look for their roots, the Russian authorities have always reclaimed the public's attention to the theory of greatness. A nearby public looked at the map and saw the largest color spot, with the name Russia. This gave some grounds for greatness. At the same time, such a person is not known or not interested in the fact that most of the really huge territory is simply unsuitable for a sane and comfortable life. If so, then these lands are not needed by anyone. In historical time categories, the territory beyond the Urals was a suitcase without a handle. The absence of sane communications made this vast region vulnerable to any aggressor, but it simply was not found!.
So this visual image could not be self-sufficient. Any attentive citizen could look more attentively and find an almost complete absence of settlements on most of the territory beyond the Urals. And if so, then it was necessary to create a second and third layer of greatness. The second layer consists of the myth of the invincibility of Russian weapons. Moreover, this theory falls into the depths of the centuries and from there it is presented as the main feature of the Russian worldview. The third and fourth layers of the myth are tightly interwoven and are now designated as primordiality and spirituality.
That is, the scoop worked in the style of the right hint, like: "Well, you understand?" Or "everyone knows it" and everyone already thought out what was expected of him. With the scarcity of sources of information, the public invariably thought out exactly what is expected of it. Therefore, to say that the government deceived its population, in terms of the foundations of its statehood - little. The public herself thought out the imperial nonsense and then asserted that it was her own convictions. Therefore, those who now call themselves "Russians", independently eradicated their own roots from their own memory, taking instead of them the burr that is prepared by dexterous swindlers from Karamzin to Gareev or Dugin.
Returning to this layer of myths, we easily find the assertion that Russia is a millennial formation that has become the focus of Orthodoxy and spirituality. In the end, it turned out to be such a vinaigrette. Russia is thousands of years old because it competes valiantly and triumphantly, because it protects its Orthodoxy. This is a simplified formula, but through it you can see images of Alexander Nevsky, Dmitry Donskoy, Peter the Great, and later scum. From this emerges a holistic picture that makes one forget Chuvash or Erzya his own name and the true history of his people. In this sense, the expression: "Russia is the prison of nations" does not quite accurately reflect the meaning of this entity. In fact, Russia is not a prison, but a people's cemetery.
