A resident of Mexico, Maria Lorena Ramirez, was able to win in a 50-kilometer marathon, leaving behind 500 rivals from 12 countries. She overcame the distance in 7 hours and 3 minutes and as a reward received six thousand pesos (320 dollars).

Interestingly, the 22-year-old girl ran without any special equipment - she was wearing a skirt, shawl and sandals made from recycled rubber.

It is also known that Ramirez did not even train before the marathon - she simply belongs to the indigenous Indian people of the tarahumar, which is famous for its magnificent runners.
