Ukraine's first place in terms of corruption in Europe - this is the real result of the work of the current government over the past three years.
This was stated by the leader of the Opposition bloc, Yuriy Boyko, on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada on Wednesday, May 24.
According to him, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko must report how Ukraine is fighting corruption.
"We are waiting for the Prosecutor General's report on how the current government is fighting corruption. For the first time in the history of our country, Transparency International (an international anti-corruption organization - ed.. ) After the three-year rule of the current government put our country on the first place in Europe in terms of corruption, "- said Boyko.
The leader of the political force stressed that it was the actions of the authorities that led to Ukraine being "in such a shameful place". "There are a lot of law enforcement agencies in the country that compete with each other, and corruption struggles weakly. A lot of statements - and very little professional work, "- noted the People's Deputy.
Boyko said that the Oppoblok faction will also ask the Prosecutor General about the progress of investigating the tragedy on May 2, 2014 in Odessa. "We asked this question when the Attorney General was appointed, and today we will also demand clarification on the progress of the investigation," the politician stressed..
Recall, the report of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko in the Verkhovna Rada is scheduled for 12:30 Wednesday, May 24.
