The Executive Committee of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) unanimously supported the decision to extend the suspension of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RCC).

This was stated by the chairman of the IPC working group Andy Parkinson.

"Although the working group is pleased with the progress of the RCC, there are a number of recovery criteria that still need to be implemented. Therefore, the working group recommended that the executive committee continue to suspend the RCC at this stage, "said Parkinson.

Director of Public Relations IPC Craig Spence added that the Paralympic team from Russia will not be able to perform at the Games of 2018 under the neutral flag.

"In any case, the Russian Paralympic athletes will not be able to perform at the Games as neutral athletes, it's not in our rules," Spence said..

Recall that earlier the Council of Athletes of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) rejected the proposal to admit Russian Paralympic athletes to international competitions under a neutral flag.

Also, Russian athletes were banned from participating in qualifying competitions for the Winter Paralympic Games-2018.
