Users of social networks were outraged by the appearance on Ukrainian television of the former Minister of Internal Affairs of the times of Viktor Yanukovych, the ex-head of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anatoly Mogilev.
The odious politician gave an interview on the air of the Gordon program on the channel 112 Ukraine.
In particular, Mogilev touched upon the shooting of the Maidan and the annexation of the Crimea, his personal relationship to the fluent former president Viktor Yanukovych, and also criticized the current system of internal affairs.
The appearance of the ex-minister in the air of TV caused a storm of indignation in the Ukrainian segment of social networks.
"I suddenly see on TV - Mogilev is visiting Gordon ... Well, remember, this is the police chief in Makeyevka. Then the chief in the Crimea at Yanukovych. And the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Yuriy Lutsenko I respect you and appreciate. But in 2017 and here Mogilev on the air, and not in the cell, it's a disgrace. For me, for you, for all Ukrainians, "wrote political scientist Kirill Sazonov in Facebook.
Sazonov's position was supported by many commentators.
As you know, Mogilev was the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the government of Mykola Azarov from March 2010 to November 2011. After that, he was appointed to the post of chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Before that Mogilev worked exclusively in the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. From 1982 to 2005, he held various positions in the internal affairs bodies of the Donetsk region. In February 2007, he was appointed head of the Crimean MVD headquarter and worked for almost a year.
In 2010, Mogilev directed the Crimean election headquarters of Viktor Yanukovych, and after his victory he became Minister of Internal Affairs. In November 2011, the president dismissed him and sent the leadership of the Council of Ministers of the ARC.
According to media reports, in mid-February 2014 - two weeks before the seizure of the peninsula - Simferopol was visited by the Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov. There he met with Anatoly Mogilev and the Speaker of the Crimean Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov. Mogilev himself did not comment on what they were talking about with Surkov.
