Every third person trying to lose weight, in fact, not only does not lose weight, but, on the contrary, recruits it. This was reported by the British Association of Dietitians.

Surveys conducted by them, in which more than 4 thousand people took part, showed that almost every second person sooner or later thinks about how he would lose excess weight. However, 40% of those who eventually choose a suitable diet and try to follow it, after a few months decide that it is "not effective enough," and refuse any restrictions on their diet. As a result, the physiological changes caused by starvation in their bodies literally "go backwards" - and the body weight increases, often exceeding the one that was observed at the beginning of the diet.

"The data we received lead us to sad thoughts," Dr. Liz Anderson, the press secretary of the Association, told in an interview with "BBC". - So, it turned out that only 18% of "dieters" really solve the problem of excess weight. 25% survive a maximum of a month, 10% - two months, the majority of those who abandon the diet even earlier. As a result, instead of losing weight, they get excess weight, and 40% of women and 20% of men who "finished" with a diet are forced to see a doctor.

In general, it remains only to say once again - lose weight with the mind!.
