The corresponding bill has already been registered in Parliament. As Svetlana Dobrovolskaya, Head of Education Department of Mariupol City Council, explained, the introduction of the Ukrainian language as the main language in local schools will be made gradually.

This year two schools will become Ukrainian-speaking. One of them will be school number 10, where five Ukrainian first classes of 30-35 people are recruited.

Dobrovolskaya also assured that the local authorities explain to parents whose children will study in such a class that they will have more opportunities to realize themselves in the country.

Parents understand this, and this explains the great desire to give children in classes with the Ukrainian language of instruction, "she explained..

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the Verkhovna Rada intends to increase the quota of the Ukrainian language on television to 75%.
