"In the current year, the total losses of fruit, nuts and berries can reach 1-1.2 million tons, that is 50-60% of the average for the last years volume of 2 million tons," he said, adding that this is preliminary data.

At the same time, according to the Association, in the central and southern regions, the yield losses of berries are up to 90%, especially the Kiev, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Lviv, Cherkassy, ??Mykolaiv and Zaporozhye oblasts suffered.

For most stone fruit crops in Ukraine, losses are about 80%, apple losses, pears - up to 40%, while in some farms in Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Cherkassy and Mykolaiv regions the future crop is completely destroyed.

According to Ukrsadprom, 100% of the harvest of strawberries and about 90% of apples in the Barna district of Vinnytsia region, 90% of strawberries in Tulchinsky district; In the Chernivtsi region - up to 85% of the stone fruit, in Kiev - 90% strawberries, 100% raspberries, 70-75% strawberries, 60% - currants, in the Mykolayiv region apple harvest losses, pears, plums, cherries, cherries, apricots and peaches Reach 90-100%, in the Cherkasy region frost destroyed the harvest of apples, in Khmelnitsky - 60% of black currant and up to 30% of apples and pears.

Earlier, the association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" forecasted a loss of up to 90% of the harvest of early berries and up to 50% of fruits in the western regions of the country, where the temperature decrease was the most significant in May.
