On Tuesday, May 16, at the "Butterfly Ultramarine" movie theater, a pre-premiere screening of Akhtem Seitablayev's film "Alien Prayer". The picture was based on the real story of the 19-year-old girl Saida, who during the occupation by fascists of Bakhchisarai saved 88 Jewish children.

According to the story, a boy named Yitzhak, who together with other Jewish children, is hiding from the fascists, turns to the teacher of the children's home of the Crimean Tatar Saida. Before the girl becomes a difficult choice - to take children, risking their lives and the lives of other children of the orphanage, or refuse them, dooming to death. Despite the threat, Saida decides to help children. She gives them new names, teaches Tatar prayer and language, does everything possible so that the invaders could not distinguish the Jewish children from the Crimean Tatars.

The idea of ??the film was born when producer Ivanna Dyadyura heard this story on TV from the first mouth. Already in old age, the real Saida, who survived the deportation of the Crimean Tatars, tried to find the children who were rescued during the occupation of Bakhchisaray. The director of the film, Ahtem Seitablayev, immediately supported the idea, because his family also experienced deportation.

"We wanted to hear about as many people about Said as she did a heroic deed. This should go down in history, "says Lilia Yatsenko, who starred.

It is noteworthy that Lilia Yatsenko really has Crimean Tatar roots, and Sebastian Anton, who played the role of the German Henry, is partly of German origin. At the press conference, the actor noted the importance of this picture for rethinking the tragedy:.

"The film can become an impetus for discussion and encourage a rethinking of the conflict at the official level. The fact is that after the collapse of the USSR such a reinterpretation did not happen. Perhaps this film is worth showing in schools ".

Initially, the film was planned to be shot in Akhtem's native Seytablayev Bakhchisaray, but because of the occupation of the peninsula, the Crimean landscapes were replaced by Georgian. Also shooting took place in Kiev and Israel. The soundtrack to the film "Another's Prayer" was the cult song of Jamala "1944".

The premiere of the film "Another's Prayer" in more than 100 cinemas of Ukraine will be held on May 18, on the Day of Remembrance of the Crimean Tatar People's Genocide Victims, and in autumn the film can be seen on "1 + 1".
