Ronaldinho Football Academy for Singaporean children ceased to exist even before the first training session.

The plans to open the Ronaldinho Academy in Singapore became known in December 2015. The Brazilian himself visited the island. At the same time, a cooperation agreement was signed with the local club Tampines Rovers.

However, the International Football Group (IFG), which was supposed to be engaged in the opening of the Academy, ceased its activities in January. This was due to staff complaints about non-payment of wages.

Tampines Rovers also disowns the project, stating that he broke ties with IFG as early as 2016. The reason was that this academy would be aimed at the well-off strata of the population. Instead, the club decided to launch its program, which would help less fortunate citizens.
